The Four Big Things To Avoid In Your Trade Show Exhibit

It’s easy to spend so much time planning for your next visit to a trade show that you overlook some things. But while it’s vital to sink hours into making sure your exhibit has everything it needs, what about all the things it shouldn’t have in place? This is often overlooked, and it shouldn’t be.

The fact is that a great trade show exhibit is made up of several components – but also free from several as well. With that in mind, let’s take a quick look at some of the primary things you should avoid in your trade show exhibit.

1. Too Much – Too much isn’t a good thing. Whether it’s an exhibit that is far too cluttered with signage, too many products on display, or too many competing colors, slogans, and messages, if you have too much going on you will struggle to get your point across to those who are at the trade show.

2. No Clear Message – This is directly related to the point above. If you have no clear message or goal, you’ll struggle to get meaningful results from your time at the trade show. Try to have a clear focus and a clear goal and let that be displayed in your trade show exhibit.

3. Lack Of Branding – Your brand matters, and you need to be able to extend it in a meaningful way while at the trade show. Without good branding in your exhibit, you’ll find that you have little follow up power after the show is over. In other words, you need to make sure your brand is on full display.

4. Boring Presenters – Your exhibit may be great, but if you don’t have a good presenter you’re going to fall flat. Be sure that your presenters are lively, engaging, and willing to connect with your participants in a meaningful way.

These four simple elements can have a huge impact on your trade show success. Make sure that your exhibit is all it can be and you’ll notice better ROI as a result. We can help. Contact Lighthouse Exhibits to get better trade show design and better results the next time you head to the trade show.
