Maximize Your ROI At Your Next Trade Show

March 9, 2018

When you're trying to extend your brand identity and get maximum return on your investment at an upcoming trade show, there are a number of things that are worth remembering. However, above all else, your impact at the show will come down largely to your exhibit and how visitors interact with it and the person in charge of it.

Face to face encounters at a trade show can make a huge impact, as can your overall exhibit design. Here are some tips to keep in mind that can help you maximize your ROI and come away from the trade show with more.

  • •Start off by creating a good exhibit. Exhibit design should not only showcase your company's brand with the right logos and colors, but should convey a strong message about what your presence at the trade show is intended to convey. This way, you let everyone know exactly what you're doing and what you're going to offer to them.

  • • Let the world know that you are there, too. A good social media presence lets you send out tweets or Facebook updates about the show including photos of your exhibit or special offers to those who visit. You can also use email or physical mailers, but the point is to let all of your contacts and potential contacts know that you're there and ready to see them.

  • •Be as memorable as possible. Remember that there are hundreds of other exhibits on the trade show floor. That's the key reason that you need such a knockout exhibit of your own, but also why once you get them to your exhibit, you have to wow them. Face to face interactions, free giveaway items, marketing materials, and more all need to be at their best to make sure you stand out in the minds of those who are coming.

  • •Follow-ups can be huge. You'll have to get basic contact information such as an email address, but once you do you can use that to connect with attendees after the exhibit is over and remind them of what you can do for them.

If you'll keep these four basic things in mind you should be able to maximize your ROI at your next trade show. It all begins with your exhibit design, extends through your marketing to announce your presence, and culminates in making a lasting impression once that they arrive.
