A Better Trade Show Exhibit

January 27, 2016

Trade shows have changed a lot over the years, and while the general idea behind them is the same the actual way that displays are set up and how they impact visitors to the booth are much different. The use of technology and a deeper understanding of solid marketing techniques means that today’s exhibitors are laser-focused on getting results.

It’s important that you plan and develop your exhibit with a few key points in mind if you want to be sure to stand out. Create a strong impression on visitors, to get the kind of return on your investment that you deserve. Here are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Lightweight – Simply put, trade show exhibits don’t have to weigh as much as a small house. Today the use materials like digital textile printing and aluminum frames have made it much easier to reduce the weight and the set up times of exhibits.

  • Technology Tools – Innovation is often on full display on a trade show floor, but have you ever stopped to think about just how well you can use technological innovations in your displays? From touch screen monitors visitors can interact with, to free downloadable apps offered right at your exhibit, you can use modern technology to really connect with visitors today.

  • Social Media – This might be considered technology like that mentioned above, but more and more exhibitors are combining social media experiences with their displays while staying within their budget. Tweets, Instagram, and Facebook updates can offer unique things to visitors, allowing them to interact with your product before they even arrive in the booth.

  • Brand, Brand, Brand – Your company’s brand identity is key to getting the most from your time and money invested into any marketing vehicle – including the trade show. Your logos, product positioning, slogan, and messaging need to be on full display if you want to create a solid connection with visitors and build your company in their mind.

  • Interactivity – Trade show participants don’t care to see only pictures of your product. They want to experience it. Give them a chance to try out and experience what you can offer them. It will help in more ways than you might think.

By harnessing the power of technology and combining it with the right plan, your trade show exhibit can help your company stand out. Contact Lighthouse Exhibits to find out more about what we can do for you. From design to tech implementation and beyond, we can help.
